Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Alpstrack account and its associated data at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data.
How to request deletion
Email contact@alpstrack.com from the email address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm your identity and process the request — you don't need the app installed to make this request.
What gets deleted
Once we process your request, we permanently delete:
- Your account and profile (display name, email, profile photo, bio, and preferences)
- Routes you recorded and their GPS tracks
- Activities imported from a connected wearable (e.g. Suunto), including session stats
- Comments you've posted and places you've favorited
- Your Suunto account connection, if any (the linked access token is revoked)
What may be retained
We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, records needed to comply with a legal obligation), for as long as that requirement applies. Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked back to you (such as aggregate usage analytics) is not deleted, since it isn't personal data.
Timeframe
We process deletion requests within 30 days of confirming your identity.
Partial deletion
If you'd rather keep your account but remove specific content, you can delete individual routes, activities, or comments directly within the app, or disconnect a linked wearable from your profile, without deleting your whole account.
